Personal Information About Engineer Ryan Alan S. Celis,

Chief Executive Officer, Milling Technology Corporation

Ryan Alan S. Celis is a Mechanical Engineer by academic training and occupational profession.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines, in 1987. He placed 6th in the 1987 Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examinations. He attended the Philippine's Ateneo de Manila Graduate School of Business in 1992.

In 1988 he started his professional career, as an engineer in San Miguel Corporation, which is a giant and leading food and drinks manufacturer in the Philippines. In San Miguel Corporation he was given top level Manufacturing and Engineering responsibilities.

He left San Miguel Corporation, after many years of service, to set up his own food products company; the Matador Foods, Inc. His company was entrusted to market and distribute poultry and meat products produced by San Miguel Foods, Inc. At present, Matador Foods is also into trading and supply of feed ingredients.

In pursuit of his engineering profession, along with the expertise he has acquired in his successful feed and food manufacturing and distribution enterprises, he established the MillTech Engineering Consultancy (MEC) in 2015, to provide engineering support to the food manufacturing industry, particularly those in the industry that manufacture feeds. In 2021 he upgraded the capability and services of MEC and established Milling Technology Corporation (MTC).

From its early beginning as MillTech Engineering Consultancy up to the present as the Milling Technology Corporation, the firm, under the personal management of Engineer Celis, has completed a significant number of complete plant erections and installations including plant design to actual project implementation. At present, Milling Technology Corporation, operates a feed mill plant in the southern Philippines, doing contract manufacturing for various major feed integrators and commercial feed millers.

The span of experience in manufacturing and engineering of Engineer Celis, particularly in feed mill and food manufacturing and distribution, had already stretched 35 years of personal and hands-on application of engineering and manufacturing expertise, and continue to actively lengthen.

Engineer Ryan Alan Celis is a philanthropist-of-sort in the sharing of engineering knowledge, skill and wisdom in the development of industrial activities that benefit people through food production. As an example, he gives time and effort as the regular resource speaker at the Online Milling School, organized by the Perendale Publishers Limited (publishers of Milling and Grain magazine, and Progressus Agrischools). He also speaks in forums that share good practices in plant management in conventions and training seminars of engineers and industry decision makers in developing Southeast Asian countries and elsewhere.

In line with his engineering expertise, he is also the General Manager of their family- owned company, the Jacsons' Metalcraft Industries, Inc., which was founded by his late father in 1967. The industry specializes in sheet metal manufacturing, specifically, in the manufacture of steel filing cabinets, steel safes, lockers, vault doors, racks, tables, and other made-to-order sheet metal products, and office furniture and fixtures. Such lengthy and continuing experience in engineering and entrepreneurial undertakings would definitely benefit anyone with whom he would share his personal and industrial expertise.
